Student bursaries to attend BSODR 2015 meeting, Cardiff, 14-16 September

BSODR would be delighted to now receive applications from student members for bursaries to attend the BSODR 2015 meeting in Cardiff, 14-16 September. It is our policy to accept applications only from students who meet all of the following criteria:  they must be BSODR student members of IADR, are presenting at the meeting, are studying in a British institution and have not received funding from an alternative source to attend.

It is important to note that the final bursary amount will not be known until after all applications have been received. The bursaries will be paid out after confirmed attendance and presentation at the meeting.

Applicants are asked to email linda.gane@kcl.ac.uk with their IADR membership number and the name of their sponsor (normally their postgraduate supervisor). Please also copy your supervisor into the email sent to Linda Gane. The email should also contain the title of your submitted abstract.

If possible, please include the address you would like the bursary cheque sent to, once the amount has been agreed.

The closure date to receive applications is 10th July 2015, which is the 'Early Deadline' for registration for this meeting.

OMIG - scientific meeting, Gregynog Hall, Wales, 9th to 11th March 2016

OMIG are pleased to announce a scientific meeting at Gregynog Hall, Gregynog, Newtown, Wales from 9th to 11th March 2016.

http://www.wales.ac.uk/en/UniversityConferenceCentre/GregynogHall.aspx

This is a residential meeting with accommodation and meals provided, and will follow the same format as the meeting held there in March 2014. The meeting is open to all OMIG members and will not be topic-specific, so talks and posters in any area of oral microbiology and immunology are welcome. Further details and announcements will follow in due course, but please put the dates in your diary if this is likely to be of interest.

This is the fourth OMIG scientific meeting to be held at Gregynog Hall, following on from successful meetings in 2008, 2010 and 2014. As this is a residential meeting, all meals and two nights accommodation are provided within the registration cost. Meals that will be provided are as follows:

Wednesday 9th: dinner.

Thursday 10th: breakfast, lunch, conference dinner.

Friday 11th: breakfast, lunch.

There will be scientific (oral) sessions on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th (a.m.), including a session for postgraduate research students. There is no specific theme to the meeting, so abstracts are invited from all areas of oral microbiology and immunology.

A call for abstracts will be made later in the year and further details regarding abstract submission, meeting timetable and registration will be posted on the OMIG website as they become available.

OMIG hope that you will be able to attend this meeting, either as a delegate or presenter. Please make any potentially interested colleagues aware of the meeting.

OMIG looks forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Wales in March 2016, for what promises to be another very exciting and stimulating meeting.
