This year the BSODR will award its annual prize competitions during the PER-IADR 2020 conference in Marseille, France (10th to 12th September 2020). The BSODR will host the following prizes with eligibility for undergraduate and postgraduate students and early career researchers:
– Senior Colgate prize
– Junior Colgate Undergraduate prize
– BSODR (Septodont) Poster prize
– GSK Mineralised Tissue Group (MINTIG) Travel award
– Voco Prize for Dental Biomaterials Research
– Oral Medicine and Pathology (OMP) group prize
Enter on-line during abstract submission for the PER-IADR 2020 conference: https://www.per-iadr2020.com
Abstract submission closes 23rd April 2020.
Please check the eligibility criteria at https://bsodr.org.uk/awards-and-prizes/ and remember that you may enter for one prize only.
Please do not submit for multiple prize entries. Those applying for multiple prizes will not be allowed to compete in any competition, as the BSODR cannot choose which prize you are best eligible to enter for. You are advised to discuss entry with your supervisor. Entrants must also be members of the British Division of the IADR (BSODR) at time of abstract submission.
Those entering the Colgate prizes should also indicate their willingness to also be considered as the BSODR entrant for the IADR Hatton Prize in 2021.
Please note that due to popularity in entry for the Senior Colgate prize, which is our most prestigious prize, entries will be triaged before the meeting, judged on your abstract and a 1,500 word manuscript also to be submitted as part of this prize entry (sent separately; deadline for submission approximately 4 weeks after abstract submission). Only entries deemed to indicate a high research quality, describing a substantial body of work, will proceed to be judged, via an oral presentation in the Colgate prize session, during the BSODR meeting.
