BDIA and BSODR Research Grant
A jointly funded British Dental Industry Association (BDIA) and BSODR research grant to the value of £5,000 will provide an opportunity for BDIA member companies to access UK based research to drive innovation or solve a challenge their business is facing. This unique collaboration will create new partnerships delivering positive impacts for the BDIA and BSODR membership, the dental profession and patients.
Submission Process
BSODR members will be contacted in January 2025 with an invitation to review an anonymised research opportunity with a BDIA member company. Interested researchers should then complete the BSODR grant application form which will be provided at the same time. The BSODR will check membership status of the researcher and select reviewers with appropriate research expertise to guide the selection of the successful project, using defined marking criteria.
The company and research institution will be introduced and work together independently and agree timelines and IP. In the event that agreement between the company and research institution is unmet the funding will be retained by the BDIA and BSODR for future applications. It is expected the research outcomes will be presented as an oral/poster presentation at the next available BSODR conference following completion.
